Spiritual Direction
What is it about?
Spiritual direction is the sacred practice of becoming more aware of God’s presence and movement in your everyday life. Jesus once said, “My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I too am working” (John 5:17). If God is always at work, why do we sometimes notice—and other times not? Spiritual direction helps you grow in your capacity to notice, discern, and respond to that divine activity with openness and trust.
How does it function?
Most people meet with a spiritual director once a month for an hour. In that time, you’re invited into a quiet, safe, and prayerful space. Through attentive listening, thoughtful questions, and compassionate presence, the director helps you explore where God may be showing up in the ordinary and extraordinary parts of your life. It’s not about fixing or advising—it’s about noticing and responding.
What is a “spiritual director”?
A spiritual director is a trained spiritual companion—someone who walks alongside you, not ahead of you. They aren’t there to tell you what to believe or how to live, but to hold space as you listen for the voice of God in your own story. Through their presence and discernment, they help you tune into the invitations of grace already unfolding in your life.
